Larissa Leonard

Welcome Kindergartners!

I am so excited to begin a new school year.  Here is a brief history of Miss Leonard.  I grew up and graduated from college in Montana.  I received my Bachelors in Education there. After college I was a one-on-one aide in Special Education.  I then moved to Nevada where I have been teaching ever since.  I taught on year in Clark County School District, and two years at a different charter school, before coming here.

Kindergarten is a new and exciting year where we will learn new and different things.  By end of Kindergarten we will be reading!!!

Homework is a reflection of what we have done that day or learned at the beginning of the week.  Want to know what we are learning? Check my homework.  How much homework is sent out will be based on how much paper we have in the classroom to access.  If possible send a ream of paper with your child.

We will be having rest time, not necessarily nap time.  Please bring a blanket to sleep on.  It is required all students lay down quietly.

Also, I know it can be a very long day and students get hungry in the afternoon so we will be having snack time. Snacks provided for the class will be shared with everyone, those brought individually will be eaten by the student.

Here are the supplies directly correlated to our classroom.
